The deer mask with its magnificent antlers and the detailed painting is used together with bright yellow skirts in mystical mask dances during Tshechus, the traditional festivals in Bhutan. This dance is performed in gratitude for Guru Rinpoche.
The elaborately carved mask is painted with great detail. Fine black lines on a brown background represent the coat of the stag. The mighty white antlers are removable. To enjoy the mask, it can be placed on a shelf or hung on the wall, as it has two holes at the top.
