Cymbals

New product

Metal cymbals such as these are an important part of all Vajrayana Buddhist (a.k.a. Tibetan Buddhist) ritual. They are used as an aspect of sound offering during liturgical chanting, as well as to accent other ritual music such as that which accompanies the "cham" or Buddhist masked dances. The photo below was taken during a masked dance. That is a classic Himalayan village scene, with Nyingma lamas presiding over the event, and playing the cymbals.

Cymbals are also the one of the major instrument in the Buddhist ritual and meditation performance. Cymbals are made of the circular bras plate .Cymbals are thin and round plates , as they come in pair striking against each other to produce a sound. Cymbals come in different sizes, measured by their diameter in inches and centimeter. The sound of the Cymbals depends on the size and thickness of the cymbals. Thick cymbals give louder and a bigger sound as thin cymbals gives the lower pitch and the faster sound.
