The water dragon is another awesome creature in Bhutan’s mysticism. With its glare and the upstanding trunk, it has a frightening expression. The mask is used in traditional dances during Tshechus, the religious festivals in Bhutan.

The elaborately carved mask is richly decorated and painted in great detail. It shows black circles on a dark brown background enriched with golden ornaments. Short white horns, which are removable, embellish this piece of art. To enjoy the mask, it can be placed on a shelf or hung on the wall, as it has two holes at the top.
